UMC, the licensed business partner of SHARP LCDs in Europe, introduces a completely new product line: AQUOS LED Full HD, into sale. Until October this year, nine series with different design variations, in sizes ranging from 22” to 55”, with five different style designs will appear on the market.
The changes to Sharp’s offer not only apply to TV sets alone. There will be also new names, with the product symbol providing much more information about the features and design of the TV set. What’s important, all the series (apart from 4th series) will be equipped with a radio remote control operating on the basis of radio waves rather than infrared technology which will considerably enhance the comfort of use. The radio remote control will “locate” the LCD TV from every room corner, regardless of any furniture or other obstacles in the way. The user interface, which is light and transparent, will also be new. This UI was developed in response to the needs of the European customer who quite often does not use all functionalities of the increasingly advanced and therefore increasingly complicated TV sets.
The entire SHARP AQUOS LED 2015 line-up is characterized by a light and consistent style. Starting from 32” screen, all TV’s are equipped with the Direct LED lighting with an advanced structure of the optical distance between the LED lights and the panel, as narrow as only 18mm, which contributes to a very slim shape of the TV set. The screen is framed with fine high-quality plastic frames with brushed steel finish texture; broad LED displaying the TV set status are smartly embedded in the bottom panel just below the logo of SMART. Starting from 32” screen, all TV’s are firmly mounted on handsome aluminum legs which vary depending on series and design.
From the technological point of view, Smart (beginning with the CFE6130 series) and Smart 3D (beginning with the SFE7330 series) can boast all the most important features of a modern TV set. Namely, they have access to the application basis, which will grow bigger and bigger every month, Miracast and WiDi wireless technologies; as well as wired MHL in selected series, which will charge our smartphone while sending the multimedia to the Smart TV. The image is processed through dual-core Ace Pro processor supported by the Advanced Color Engine system, which processes picture with 12-bit color depth. AQUOS LED Smart comes in screen sizes from 32” to 55”, while Smart 3D is available from 43” to 55”.
TV sets without the Smart functionality (which includes the CFE5100 and CFE5200 series) come in in two different designs in the sizes ranging from 32” to 50”. In particular, they have the USB PVR recording function (depending on the market), slim backlight LED structure, radio remote control or dts 2.0 sound decoder along with dts TruSurround home cinema sound system.
All new SHARP AQUOS LEDs are manufactured at a modern LCD factory near Toruń (Poland).
In Ostaszewo, near Toruń, a European Logistics Centre is rising. The origin of the project is the need for greater logistic flexibility and satisfying the storage needs, which come from increased production and sales.
